Hi there, Nancy, and welcome to PlanDisney! I’m so happy you stopped by to see us. During these unprecedented times, it is important to know that you will be able to embark on your next magical Disney vacation at a time that is right for your family. Walt Disney World is committed to helping its guests navigate these scenarios. The details of all the current procedures and cancellation policies are outlined on the
Experience Updates page for easy viewing.
There is a
page that specifically addresses modifications, cancellations and refunds, where it has been posted that Walt Disney World is waiving all cancellation fees for vacations beginning prior to 10/3/2020. Given that your trip begins after that date, I would recommend that you cancel your vacation no later than 30 days before your departure in order to avoid any fees. While these policies are subject to change, I hope it will bring you some much-needed peace of mind to know that you’ll have some flexibility. Whenever you decide you are ready to cancel your trip, please contact either your travel professional, the Disney Reservation Center via the chat function on the Disney World website or the Walt Disney World
reservation line via telephone to proceed.
I hope that this information helps you cancel (and reschedule!) your Disney vacation in a way that works best for you and your loved ones. Please know that if you do reschedule, you’ll want to be sure to take a look at the
Park Pass reservation availability, as Guests currently need a Park Pass reservation for each day you plan to visit a Theme Park. This information can be easily viewed before making your travel plans.
Nancy, please know that we at planDisney are always at the ready and waiting for your next Disney travel question! Do not hesitate to come back to see us anytime we can be of assistance!
See ya real soon!
