how do i cancel or reschedule resort reservation?

Hi there, David! Welcome to planDisney!

There’s nothing better than the anticipation of an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation (except, ya know, actually going to Walt Disney World), but you never know what life will throw your way. Luckily, there are multiple ways to modify or cancel your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation.

The quickest way is to log in to your My Disney Experience account on the Walt Disney World website and select “My Plans” from the drop-down menu. Scroll to “My Plans, Reservations and Tickets” and click the “Change Reservation” button to begin the rescheduling or cancellation process.

You can also modify your reservation on the My Disney Experience mobile app. Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the lower right corner when you first open the app. Then scroll down a little and select “Hotel Reservations.” This page will give you the option to cancel your room.

I sometimes find that it’s easier to talk with a helpful Cast Member on the Tickets and Hotel Reservations phone line if I plan to reschedule my reservation. Sometimes the particular package or hotel you’ve booked may not be available for your new desired dates, and a Cast Member can be a big help in searching for new options and explaining what’s available.

Whenever you plan to visit the Vacation Kingdom, David, I hope this information was helpful. You can always pop right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
