Hello, Joanne!
Thank you for sending your question to planDisney. It sounds like you made a
Placeholder Reservation for a future Disney Cruise as part of a Disney Cruise Line Onboard Booking Offer. This offer allows Guests to enjoy 10% off prevailing rates on the Disney Cruise Line website for a future cruise. As part of this offer, Guests can also enjoy a reduced deposit on sailings of 7-nights and longer. This can be used to book up to 2 staterooms on one sailing date per household. I always book a Placeholder Reservation while sailing on a Disney Cruise, even if I do not have plans to sail again soon. I like having the discounted option available for a future cruise!
I am sorry that you need to cancel your Placeholder Reservation! I know that sometimes life gets in the way of fun, and those Placeholder Reservations can usually be canceled by calling Disney Cruise Line at the
phone number listed on this page. You could also wait for the reservation to be automatically canceled, which currently happens if a Placeholder Reservation cruise does not begin within 24 months after it was booked.
Some exciting things are happening at Disney Cruise Line! If you decide to keep your Placeholder Reservation, you may want to consider a voyage that takes you to
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Some of
my planDisney pals just finished a trip to this new Disney destination, and they loved every second of it! In addition, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the
Disney Treasure, begins sailing 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries in December 2024.
Joanne, I am sorry you need to cancel your Placeholder Reservation. I hope you have other fun activities planned this summer!
You are the magic!
Jen
