    Can you cancel a park reservation & then rebook the same park for the same day? A friend joined our trip who we wanna add to our party. The only way it seems I can book a reservation for her is as a separate party - OR can we rebook everyone together?

    Hello, Heather! It's my pleasure to welcome you to planDisney where, like the Genie, we love to help make wishes come true. 

    Heather, how exciting that a friend is joining in on your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. One of my favorite trips to Walt Disney World included five of my friends and I hope you have an unforgettable time. 

    Now, Heather, through the remainder of 2023, the Disney Park Pass system will remain in effect, so I'm glad to hear that you've already secured your theme park reservations. To your question, yes you are able to cancel and rebook for the same park, however, you do not need to do so. In order to experience attractions together such as joining a Virtual Queue or booking a Lightning Lane with the purchase of Genie+, you need to be linked in the Family & Friends section of your My Disney Experience account. While your friend will need a Disney Park Pass reservation for the same parks that you are visiting, they don't need to be booked together in order to plan together for the rest of the day. Heather, this means that you can cancel and rebook your Disney Park Pass reservation or you can ask your friend to make sure they have booked their own reservations that mimic your plans. Either way, you'll be able to enter the park together and start creating memories. 

         planDisney tip: to view your connected Family & Friends, log into your My Disney Experience account and hover over the words, "My Disney Experience" until you see "My Family & Friends." Clicking on these words will take you to a separate page listing all guests connected to your account. If you scroll to the bottom, you'll be able to connect another guest by clicking on "Add a Guest," and following the prompts. You can also view your list and connect with more guests through the My Disney Experience Mobile App. Through the app, you'll want to scroll down on the home screen until you see "My Profile." Clicking on those words will take you to a new screen where you can click on, "Family & Friends List."
