We have to cancel our park reservation for a 1-day ticket. What happens to the ticket?

Hey there Janie and welcome to planDisney. Life sometimes gets in the way of being able to enjoy a day at the "Most Magical Place on Earth" and Guests are left with tickets and theme park reservations wondering what to do. Let me get you the information you need to manage this situation.

Please know that Theme Park Tickets and Theme Park Reservations are two separate entities. You may have a theme park ticket without a theme park reservation but you may not have a theme park reservation without a theme park ticket. If you cancel the reservation the ticket will remain in your My Disney Expereince account to be used at a later date. If your ticket is not linked to your account then take a few moments to link it so you may easily find it.

planDisney Pro Tip: Be sure to read the information on Disney Genie+ Service (not standard Disney Genie Service). This is the best way to maximize your theme park time. While it is an extra cost it is better to spend more time doing and less time queuing.

Janie, we at planDisney are here excited to help you with any Disney vacation planning needs. Feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
