How do I cancel a park reservation?

Hello there! Welcome to planDisney, Noreen. We’re so glad you’re here!

Oh boy, your vacation is just around the corner. How psyched are you?! If you ask me, it's always a good time to visit Walt Disney World! But, I must say, you have picked an incredible time to experience the magic. Not only will you get to enjoy Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration, but you'll also have the opportunity to attend the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. From incredible topiary sculptures to delicious cuisine from the outdoor kitchens, you surely won't want to miss this festival! Have you had a chance to check out the Foodie Guide on Disney Parks Blog, which breaks down all the delicious bites available from the festival’s outdoor kitchens? I’ve got my eye on the Frushi from Hanami at the Japan Pavilion. It looks so delicious, so I can’t wait to give it a try!

Noreen, canceling a theme park reservation is super simple, so I’m happy to be able to share those steps with you today! But first, as a reminder, you will need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day. Then, if you have added the Park Hopper Option to your ticket, you can hop over to another park after 2 p.m. each afternoon. Unfortunately, some dates do get booked up entirely, so before you cancel your existing reservation, I recommend checking the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to make sure the other park you are looking to visit is still available. I would hate for you to cancel your reservation and not be able to get another one.

Once confirmed, you can cancel your existing reservation by logging into your My Disney Experience account from the Walt Disney World website. Then, hover over the My Disney Experience logo in the upper right corner and select “My Plans” from the drop-down menu. From there, scroll down and select the theme park reservation you would like to cancel and click on “Cancel Reservation.” Finally, you can follow the prompts to complete the cancellation, and you are all set! Pretty easy, right?

I do hope this answer has been helpful to you! If you have any other questions as you wrap up the planning of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please stop back over to planDisney! We would love to help you make the absolute most of your vacation!

    Have a magical day!
