Hello! If I cancel my park hopper Disneyland reservations, how long can I hold onto my tickets before I select new reservation dates as they aren't available in the Disneyland reservation availability calender yet. Will my ticket expire or time out?

Hey there, Heather. Welcome to planDisney. We’re excited you’ve stopped by with your question for us.

How delightful you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth in January 2022! Our family has several important dates to celebrate (wedding anniversary and two birthdays!) so we’ve done numerous Disney trips in the month of January. With most students back in school during that time, the crowds are usually smaller compared to peak holiday season.

Heather, I’m guessing you purchased your Park Hopper tickets when Disneyland Resort reopened after the pandemic closure. If so, your tickets won’t expire for quite some time. One-day tickets are valid through December 30, 2022; multi-day tickets must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 12, 2023 (whichever comes first). You can cancel your current park reservations, and book again once your January 2022 dates become available. When you’re ready to do so, return to the “Theme Park Tickets & Reservations” page and under “If you’ve already purchased a ticket:”, click on “Make Park Reservations”. Pick the new date and park you wish to visit and confirm your selections. When your new theme park reservation is processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

Be sure to visit Disneyland.com or Disney Parks Blog for the latest park news so you don’t miss a beat. If you have further trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us again on planDisney.

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
