If I had to cancel my hotel reservation, can I get the returned deposit on a different card than the one used for the reservation? We pay off our credit cards immediately and don't know how to handle a positive balance if this happens.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kaley! I’ve had my plans shift, too, so if you need to cancel your plans or even postpone them, you can reach a Disney Cast Member at (407) 939-1936.

It is my understanding that Disney can only refund the card you charged with - they won’t have access to another card to add funds. But I have been refunded money to a credit card before (we pay ours off immediately, too), and the positive balance either sits there as a credit for you to use, or is cut as a check to your family after a month's non-use. You can contact your credit card company to ask that the check be paid back to you at any time. It’s as easy as that! Of course, you can always place a hold on your funds and reservation if you think you can move your vacation to a different time slot… keep in mind that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is due to open in 2019 and it may be the perfect time for you to visit.

If I can answer any more planning questions for you, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
