Hi there Laura. Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for bringing your vacation planning question to us!
I'm sorry to hear that there's been a
stitch in your travel plans and that you may have to reschedule the fun for a later date. While postponing a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is certainly disappointing, fortunately, Walt Disney World makes the process simple. The short answer to your question is that it depends on the type of vacation you have booked. I'd be happy to walk you through the different possibilities.
If you booked a
Disney Resort Hotel Package that includes your resort room and theme park tickets, then your tickets will be canceled with the cancelation of your vacation package. If you already have future travel dates in mind, you can adjust the dates of your package by calling (407) 939-5277 or by selecting the
Modify Reservation option in your My Disney Experience account.
If you purchased your
theme park tickets separately from a
room-only resort reservation, then your theme park tickets will remain active and linked to your
My Disney Experience account even upon canceling a resort reservation. To change the date on these tickets, first, click on "My Plans" in My Disney Experience. Scroll down and click on Tickets & Memory Maker where you'll find a list of the guests in your party and their theme park admission. You should see an option to "Change Ticket," and from there you can modify the start date of your theme park tickets. Once you have changed the appropriate information, touch "Check Out." If there is a price difference between your previous ticket start date and your new one, you may need to pay the extra at check out.
You can also call (407) 566-4985, and a Cast Member specializing in existing tickets will be able to assist you.
I hope this information has been helpful as you continue to shape your future travel plans. When you are ready to start dreaming up your next Disney adventure, come back and see us again. We're all EARS, and we love to help!
Have a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah day!
