Hi Aneeta,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian.
I’m truly sad to hear that you’ve had to cancel your family’s visit to Walt Disney World Resort this January.
The answer as to when your refund will show up on your credit card statement depends largely on your lender’s policies and procedures. I’ve sometimes had to wait up to a week to see the credit land in my account. If you don’t see anything within about 7 business days of your cancellation, I’d recommend that you speak to your card’s issuer (the phone number should be on the back of your card) for more information.
Also, if you didn’t receive an email from Walt Disney World Resort confirming your cancellation, then I would invite you to
contact them by either phone or
email in order to make sure that the cancellation has gone through. Please note that, depending on the type of
Vacation Package you’ve purchased, you may not be entitled to a full refund, especially if you had purchased any
Theme Park Tickets as part of your reservation.
I really hope that you’ll be able to make plans to visit Walt Disney World Resort really soon, Aneeta! When you do start planning your family’s next visit, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us. We’ll be happy to help make your Disney dreams come true!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
