Cancel double tickets bought for Disney world

Hey Howdy Hey Maggie and welcome to planDisney!

I am so sorry to hear about your situation with the double ticket purchase. No matter what, we are human and there are always things that can happen that may lead to mistakes, so let's review a few things to see what we can come up with.

One of the big things to be aware of is the policy that Disney has when it comes to ticket purchases. As stated online, all ticket sales are nonrefundable. That being said, in very few circumstances, Disney may be able to make exceptions if you call Disney and explain your situation to a Cast Member. Make sure to be patient with them as the volume of calls has been very high for a long period but just keep in mind that this is a long shot and they may not be able to refund the purchase. Disney has Cast Members have been known to have access to a little pixie dust from time to time, so it is at least worth a shot.

If this process does not work out precisely as you planned, you still have two options. You can reassign them to some close friends or family that may want to join you on your trip or this will be a reason to visit again at a later time. On your My Disney Experience account, go to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and look for the heading "My Tickets & Memory Maker". Under that heading, you should see all the tickets that are attached to your account and the party members they are assigned. Under each ticket should be a link to "Change Ticket" which you will click on. Feel free to push this ticket to a date in the future just knowing that all tickets do come with an expiration date. If you wanted to use the ticket at a date past the expiration date, a call to Disney will usually need to be made for a Cast Member to help you through this process as they are usually able to apply the amount you paid towards the new ticket.

I am sorry that this information may not be exactly what you wanted to hear, but try calling Disney to see if they can help you with your specific situation. Feel free to stop back and let us know if you have any further questions and we would be happy to help.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Nick
