Hello Louise,
Thanks for coming to see us here at planDisney with your question.
I find that the policies and procedures for making changes to Walt Disney World Resort vacation plans can be helpful. I feel they offer some peace of mind when there's uncertainty about travel plans, and that can be reassuring.
The cancellation policy for a room-only reservation at the Walt Disney World Resort would be specific to the Terms and Conditions at the time you booked the reservation. The current Terms and Conditions to
cancel a room-only reservation allow for receiving a refund of your deposit if you cancel your reservation at least 5 days before your arrival date.
You can cancel your reservation in one of two ways. You can call the Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 934-7639 and speak with a Cast Member to cancel your reservation. In addition, there are some types of reservations that can be canceled online, and you can sign in to your
My Disney Experience account and look at your
"My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. Reservations that can be canceled online will display a "Cancel Reservation" link with the reservation information.
Louise, I hope this information is helpful as you think through your travel plans. If you have more questions about your reservation options, you can give a call to the Walt Disney World Resort at (407) 934-7639, or you can connect with a Cast Member through
the online chat service.
I'm hopeful,
Louise, that you'll get to enjoy all the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort at a time that's best for you. There's so much to see, do, and experience. I'm sure Mickey and all his pals would look forward to seeing you.
As Mickey would say, "See ya real soon!" Jerry
