I want to let you know that canceling the
Disney Dining Plan from your
Disney World vacation package is super simple, and the great news is that you are way ahead of schedule since your trip is several months away. Disney makes changes to packages easy as long as you are outside the final payment window, so you have plenty of time to adjust your reservation without any stress.
The easiest way to remove the dining plan is to
call the Disney World Reservation Center and speak with a Cast Member, since they can update your package in just a few minutes and send you a new confirmation email showing the changes. However, if you booked your vacation directly through Disney, you may not even need to call. You can often remove the dining plan yourself online. Simply go to the “My Plans” page in your
My Disney Experience account and look to the right of your reservation details. You should see a link that says “Change Reservation.” Once you select this option, you will be able to remove the dining plan from your package and confirm the updated total. If you booked through a travel agent, they will need to make the change for you since agents handle all reservation modifications. The wonderful news is that because your trip is still far away, there are no penalties for removing the dining plan. You can always add the dining plan back later as long as it is before your final payment due date.
