It sounds like you've been aboard
the wildest ride in the wilderness trying to take care of your
dining reservation. I'll try to reign you in! To cancel, make sure you are logged into your Disney account on the
Disneyland Resort home page. I recommend using the web version since you were unsuccessful on the
Disneyland Mobile App.
From the My Disneyland dropdown menu in the upper righthand corner of the page, select "My Dining And Activity Reservations." Here you should see a list of reservations you currently hold. Find the one you would like to cancel and click on "Cancel Reservation," which should appear to the right. You'll then be asked to finalize the cancelation and moments later an e-mail will appear in your inbox acknowledging the change. I just went through the steps myself, so I can confirm they work!
