    How do I cancel my dining package we are going to have to wait till next year for our trip 

    Hi Gregory!

    Sadness follows me if I have to cancel a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. I am sorry that you have to change your plans!

    It sounds like you may have one of the Disney Dining Plans linked to a Walt Disney World vacation package. If you have a My Disney Experience Account, you may be able to cancel your entire vacation package online. Go to, My Disney Experience, My Plans and look for your resort hotel confirmation. Or, you could contact the Walt Disney World Resort by phone at 407-939-1936 and speak to a Cast member to cancel your reservation.

    If you need to cancel a dining package that includes a restaurant and show reservation (i.e. the Rivers of Light: We Are One Dining Package), then you could also do so online if that reservation is linked in My Disney Experience. If, for some reason, you cannot cancel that dining package reservation online, try calling 407-939-2273. It helps if you have the dining package confirmation number. Those confirmations are typically emailed as well, so check your email if you do not have it linked in My Disney Experience. 

    If you put down a deposit for your reservation, be advised that any refunds due to you may take a few days to process. When we just recently switched our Cinderella's Royal Table dining experience to our dining plan, we were able to receive a refund of the amount we had pre-paid and it only took two days. For other vacation package cancellations in the past, it has taken a week for the refund to process. Also, be sure that you have verified the cancellation policies prior to cancelling. Years ago, I neglected to cancel an advanced dining reservation within the specified time window and was automatically charged a cancellation fee. Thankfully, a Cast member was able to assist us with a refund of that fee.

    Finally, when you are ready to reschedule your trip, be sure to check the Special Offers. I check often, even after I have booked a vacation package, to be sure that I am saving the most amount of money possible.
