Hey there, Ted, and welcome to planDisney!
Great news - as of last week, you no longer need to cancel an existing theme park reservation and rebook a new date! There is now an option instead to "Modify Reservation" so you can simply move your reservation.
Before you get started, I would still recommend checking the
Theme Park Availability Calendar to confirm that your new date has available reservations. After you've confirmed, you can visit
Disneyland.com and sign into your account.
Next, hover over "My Disneyland" and select "Tickets and Reservation Details." On the next page, you'll want to click the "Make or Modify Park Reservations" button and from here you should see your existing reservations and a button next to them that says "Modify Reservation." You'll click that, select your new date, and then you're done! Simple as that.
Have you had a chance to visit the parks already this year? The Disneyland Resort is in the midst of the
Disney100 celebration, so make sure to look over the
Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog to see all the delicious offerings around the resort.
Additionally, the newly reimagined
Mickey's Toontown reopened a few months ago and it is so fun! You can ride
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and enjoy a picnic on one of the many green areas around the land. If you're looking for a shady spot, try the green area near
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin or in the very back corner of the park by
Chip 'N' Dale's GADGETCoaster!
Thanks again for your question, Ted. Feel free to come back and see us here at planDisney with any other questions you think of. We'd love to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
