Hi Sarah!
Happy to have you here at planDisney! It’s an absolute joy to help Guests with their cruise planning. But we also understand that there will be times where we have to lend an assist with vacation un-planning. So consider us your ally as you navigate the cancellation waters.
So sorry you have been having problems getting through to a Disney Cruise Line representative. I know that can be frustrating. The good news is that you are still well within the cancellation time frame for your December cruise and will likely not incur any cancellation fees. Ordinarily, Captain Mickey spells out the cancellation fees in the
Cruise Contract Terms and Conditions. In your case, you have an even more
relaxed cancellation policy governing your voyage, which currently applies to all sailings through January 31, 2022.
Unfortunately, you will have to call to make your cancellation official as that cannot be done online. Well, technically, you could also cancel in writing, but that probably is not the most effective means to ensure that refund is processed properly. And if you booked through a Travel Agent, you will need to coordinate everything with that agent.
What I recommend is that when you
call Disney Cruise Line, you try different times of day as sometimes they can be experiencing higher call volumes. They are available to assist you Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. EST and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. EST. I have had the best luck first thing in the morning during the week rather than weekends.
Sarah, when you do decide to sail again, we hope you will chart a course to planDisney so we can talk all about it together!
Sherry
