Hi there, Kayla! It’s so nice to have you visit us here at planDisney. Thanks for stopping by!
It sounds like you have some exciting plans coming up at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. I always say it’s one of the most unique and fun places to stay at Walt Disney World, with all the charm of the outdoors and plenty of Disney magic mixed in.
If you’re thinking about changing things up and staying with family instead, I completely understand. Plans shift sometimes, and it’s great that you’re looking into your options ahead of time. Here’s what you need to know about the current cancellation policy:
If you cancel your vacation package between 2 and 29 days prior to your arrival, Disney will refund the amount you've paid, minus a $200 cancellation fee per package. Also, keep in mind that any non-refundable items like
runDisney race registrations, travel protection plan costs, or fees from third-party hotels or suppliers won’t be returned. It’s always a good idea to double-check your confirmation details or
reach out to a Cast Member directly if you have any third-party add-ons that might be affected.
Before you move forward with canceling your reservation, it’s a good idea to double-check with your family to make sure their reservation can still accommodate you. Each Disney
Resort room or cabin has a specific occupancy limit, and you’ll want to confirm that your name can be added without exceeding that maximum number of guests allowed.
Sometimes it’s easy to assume there’s space, but Disney is pretty strict about those limits for both safety and comfort. If their room is already at capacity, it might impact your ability to stay with them.
If you're within that window and need help navigating the process, I'm happy to walk you through your options. Let me know how I can help!
Toodles,
Korliss
