Vicente from CA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Can we just cancel our annual passes? What if I’m not guaranteed a park reservation for the month I’m paying my pass. I don’t think it’s right that I pay for something I can’t use.

    Hi Vicente!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for finding us hEAR and asking this great Disneyland Resort Annual Passport question!

I'm in the same boat as you, Vicente. I have a Signature Plus Annual Passport that I selected because I love the freedom of not having to preplan a future park visit like with the Flex Pass, and I also love the zero blockout schedule, valid even during the holidays. (And the included MaxPass and Standard Theme Park Parking basically pay the difference above the Signature level.) Right now the official word that we've heard is that AP's can receive *partial refunds during the time that the parks are closed (*if you paid in full at the time of your pass purchase); or, Californians on payment plans will have their payments suspended during the closure, payments of which will resume upon the reopening if there is still time left on your passport. There is an option to extend the time on your contract by the same number of days the parks were closed, but to opt in for this you'll need to call (714) 781-4567. To find all the details to the above options, click the 'Annual Passport' drop-down on this Temporary Closure information page.

Currently this is all that we officially know. Walt Disney World Resort in Florida has announced some other offerings for their APs that I'm hopeful we'll see on the West Coast. But, to be fair, those updates were just announced within the last few weeks, and only once their reopening plans were set in stone. Given that everything in CA is a bit wait-and-see right now, we'll both have to keep checking back. Definitely keep an eye on the Disneyland Resort Reopening Information page, Vicente, as well as the Disney Parks Blog as this is the official source for the newest Disneyland news. It's practically from Mickey himself! In fact, 'like' and 'follow' the Disney Parks Blog from all of your social media channels, as well as the official Disneyland Resort accounts. (You'll know they are the real deal by the 'certified' blue check marks next to the page names.)

I hope that this helped a bit, Vicente, and if you have any other Disneyland Resort or Annual Passport questions, We're All Ears!
