Hiya Pal,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m not saying that I convinced my Prince Charming to move from Texas to Florida so we could get Florida Resident rates, but I’m not saying that didn’t pop into my head once or twice. Luckily, we have always been able to find a great deal on the
Special Offers page, despite living in Texas, so I’ve still been able to visit as much as I want.
Great question about Florida residency! The Florida Resident rate is intended for Guests who live in Florida. While a valid Florida driver’s license (state-issued ID card or military ID) is the most common form of
proof of residency, there are some additional forms if you do not possess one of those three. Other forms of identification that may be used to establish proof of residency include the following documents dated within the previous 2 months: a current mortgage statement, a current homeowner’s insurance policy or bill, a current automobile registration, a current utility bill, and other select pieces of mail. You will also need to present a photo ID, such as a passport, driver’s license, or state identification card. Walt Disney World reserves the right to require additional proof of residency, so if you have multiple forms, I recommend bringing them along.
I hope this was helpful! If you need anything else, please come back and see
us. We would be happy to help you in any way that we can.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
