Hi, Michelle! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you've come to ask us a question today about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
I understand you're wanting to clarify the language used for the Canadian resident ticket offer. As a member of a large family that loves to travel together, I know that things can happen and sometimes plans have to be changed. You are correct - those tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. For the times when there is a true emergency, the friendly Cast Members on the
Guest Services team at Walt Disney World are here to help. While a refund is not possible, you will be able to change the date of your tickets.
Directly from the
Walt Disney World Resort FAQ page, here's some information you'll find reassuring: "The amount paid for an unused, expired ticket may be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket at the current price so long as the new ticket purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original ticket." This means your tickets won't lose their value in the event you have to change them due to an emergency.
While you're doing your planning, be sure to check out the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, which will be taking place during your vacation. It's a celebration of the beauty of springtime at its finest, accompanied by delicacies from unique outdoor kitchens. I love snapping photos in front of the larger-than-life topiaries of my favorite Disney characters.
Michelle, I wish you all the best in your vacation planning! We're here to help with any questions you have about your plans!
See you real soon!
