    Being a Canadian resident, I can't get my magic bands before leaving. But do I have any advantages making an online check-in before arriving ? Because I still have to get the magic bands and I presume I get them at check in ? Or is there another way ?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Francis! Your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation is coming up soon and you and your family must be so excited. 

    There are quite a few benefits to doing an Online Resort Check-In up to 30 days in advance of your arrival through the My Disney Experience app, even if you're not able to have your MagicBands mailed directly to you before your vacation. While you're filling in your check-in information you can opt-in to text messages about the status of your room so you can know the minute it's ready for you and your family. You don't have to have your MagicBand right away to get into your room, because you can unlock your door using the My Disney Experience app! The Unlock Door feature should pop up right next to your room number as soon as your room is ready. Make sure you have your phone's Bluetooth turned on! You still have to visit the Front Desk of your Resort Hotel to pick up your MagicBands, but that should only take a few minutes and then you can head straight to your favorite theme park to enjoy your day! If you arrive before check-in and your room isn't quite ready yet, you can leave your bags with Bell Services when you pick up your MagicBands and grab them when you get back and are ready to go to your room.
