Have Canadian res tickets for a visit Dec 2020. Canadian border / travel restrictions prevent us from going. Ticket exp extended to Sept 26, 2021. Planning visit Dec 2021. How do we use $value toward new tickets? When do we need to do it?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Shelley!

As a fellow international Guest, I have also had to reschedule my 2020 Walt Disney World Resort vacation to 2021 due to the current travel restrictions between my home country of Brazil and the United States.

Just like you, I will most likely only be able to use my original tickets after the extended expiration date of September 26, 2021. As we are in the same boat, I decided to contact our friends at Walt Disney World Ticketing to find out what our options are. Since theme park admission up to December 2021 is already available for purchase, you are welcome to call (407) 566-4985 to modify your tickets for your next visit.

As you select new dates, please keep in mind that you may have to pay for price differences, if any. In case you decide not use or modify your tickets by the date they expire, their value will remain in your Disney account and you will be able to apply it towards the purchase of new tickets at a later date by contacting Walt Disney World Ticketing at the telephone number provided above.

planDisney tip: I am happy to share that Disney Resort hotel reservations are already available for December 2021. I highly recommend Being Our Guest to enjoy pixie-dusted benefits and find yourself immersed in the magic every moment of your stay! For more information and to book your vacation, contact your travel professional in Canada or call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936.

Thank you for sending us a new question, Shelley! I hope this helps you while planning and that you come back to visit us real soon for more tips and advice.

    Best magical wishes,
