Hello there Roch, I'm happy to wish you a great Canadian welcome to planDisney!

For so many fellow Canucks making the trip down to Orlando for family vacations - especially when you've got all ten of you in tow - it can really add up when you consider the exchange rate. It's been several years now since Disney Vacation Club announced the update to Interval International as its new exchange provider (with an end date for any outstanding RCI transactions set for December 31, 2023). Though it might be disappointing to discover that you won't be able to continue to benefit from this membership, there are still a few ways that some savvy Canadian families have been able to save (which will hopefully help you and many others out there):

The first place to check out are the Special Offers, Deals and Discounts on the Walt Disney World Resort website, where there have been much more frequent offerings made exclusively available to Canadian residents in recent years. You'll want to make sure that you're not only logged in to your MyDisney account but also accessing the Canadian version of the website to be able to see what's currently available. Right now there are some serious savings to be found for discounted theme park tickets for 4 days or more (which are currently available until close to the end of September 2025, and in my opinion can be worth moving up your vacation sooner). While there's also currently an offer for Canadians looking for discounted rooms at Disney Resort Hotels, you'll want to keep an eye on the website for any updates for dates into Fall 2025. I'm always keeping my fingers crossed that these kinds of special offers continue to show up for all of the Canadian Disney fans who bring that special kind warm and welcoming bit of magic from the North to Disney Destinations!

Based on my conversations with Canadian guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort, many folks even choose to explore the accommodation options offered nearby such as the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando Lake Buena Vista; while the name alone may be a mouthful in and of itself, they currently offer a complimentary hot breakfast and hot dinnertime snacks which can be a great way to find value when feeding your family. Depending on the ages of your family members and the way you'll be getting around as a group it'll be up to you as to whether the cost associated with staying at a Disney Resort Hotel itself and its proximity to the theme parks via complimentary Disney Resort transportation will be a higher priority for you all and worth budgeting for!
