Can you use Canadian Debit cards (TD Canada Trust) at retailers in Disney? Just trying to figure out finances and whether to get US cash, travellers cheques, use debit (if permitted) or use Mastercard (does disney accept Master Card everywhere?)

    Hi Angela!

Thank you for submitting your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There are several accepted forms of payment when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Here is a breakdown to help you in planning for your trip:

    1) Cash (U.S. Currency)

    2) Traveler's Checks (must be in U.S. Dollars) and photo ID is required

    3) Disney Dollars (Disney's own currency)

    4) Credit Cards: Visa, JCB (Japanese Credit Bureau), Diners Club, Discover, MasterCard, and American Express

    5) Walt Disney World Gift Cards

    6) Disney Visa Rewards Card

Debit cards cannot be used unless they have a credit card option. There are ATM's located throughout Walt Disney World. The ATM's accept Visa, Plus, MasterCard, Cirrus, American Express, Discover/Novus.

Also, all of the Disney Resorts and Guest Relations at the Theme Parks/Downtown Disney offer International Currency exchange. However, the amount of currency exchanged may be limited.

Hope this helps! If I can assist you with any other planning need, send me your questions!

    Happy Planning!
