As a Canadian I count on special offers to offset exchange rate but don't see anything from now to December? Could there be offers coming up? And any ideas for videos, creative suggestions for telling the grand kiddos we going to Walt Disney World

Greetings, Rhonda, and a warm welcome to planDisney!

How very honoured I feel to be able to assist you with your planning – thank you kindly for directing your questions to me here at planDisney! This is my lucky day!

Offsetting the Canadian to US dollar exchange rate has been a goal of mine for years, as I continuously hunt for Disney special offers, oh bother! Therefore, I fully understand! Rhonda, I don’t have the backstage scoop on upcoming information, as a fellow Guest myself, only our Pal Mickey Mouse knows for sure.

I follow the official Disney Parks Blog for the most accurate and last-minute information because Disney news is the happiest news. My profile on my Disney account is updated, and I have opted to receive emails for any sort of Disney-related news, including special offers. It’s always great fun when any Walt Disney World Resort – Special Offers, Deals & Discounts pop up, such as the current one for Disney+ subscribers. I also continuously check my Disney account by selecting the Places to Stay tab where I can view current deals. And don’t forget to look at the huge saving with the current Disney Cruise Line – Special Offers where you’ll get the best of Disney and a relaxing vacation on a delightful Disney ship! Best of all, there are generally solid savings the closer you book to the sail date, if you are curious about that, please stop by and ask me all about it, I would love to chat more.

Surprises are the best! Who doesn’t love going to Grandma’s house on the weekend for breakfast to be served Mickey waffles and be presented with a huge box filled with Mickey Mouse balloons? Or you could drive to the airport and pretend to be dropping someone off and then reveal your surprise to create memories that will last a lifetime! What fabulous core memories these would be!

If you participate in Halloween, maybe the grandchildren can pop over to your house where you could present them with a customized invitation or customized set of Disney tickets wrapped as a Halloween treat. These sorts of printables are all over the internet – Etsy is one of my go-to places for unique ideas.

Rhonda, what about a mini-Disney party? The party supply stores and sometimes the Dollar Store have neat Disney-themed decorations. The surprises are endless, and you sound like a fun Grandmother and a really generous one too! I’m really excited about what you will come up with - you’ll have to stop by to update me. Depending on what you’ve decided to do, I can help you optimize your vacation to create the BEST memories EVER!

Rhonda - You Are the Magic!
