If I have a Canadian bought gift card, can I use it toward Canadian resident promo ticket?

Greetings, Marie Claude, and welcome to planDisney! Let's make sure you're all set for a holiday visit to the Disneyland Resort!

The fun will all start with theme park tickets, which you can purchase on the Disneyland website. There, you can use one Disney Gift Card per transaction. The maximum value that can be stored on a single Canada Disney Gift Card is 1,000 Canadian dollars, and you can only use one gift card per transaction. That means, if your theme park ticket total exceeds the balance on the card, you will need to have another form of payment for the balance. Alternatively, you can purchase your theme park tickets using different gift cards through multiple transactions. As part of the purchase process, you'll make your theme park reservations, too.

You can purchase Canada Disney Gift Cards at select Disney Store locations in Canada and authorized third-party distributors. If you have multiple gift cards, you can consolidate them (up to the limit) on the Disney Gift Card website. You can even bring your gift cards with you, if there is any value left over, to use at select retail and dining locations at the Disneyland Resort. I love getting souvenirs with a gift card, because it feels like I'm buying myself a little present. You'll discover lots of festive merchandise in the parks right now for the holiday season.

The Canada Residents theme park ticket offer provides savings on 3-, 4-, and 5-Day theme park tickets. You can purchase this online. Once you use your ticket for the first time, a 13-day countdown begins – make sure you use all remaining days within that timeframe. The window to use these tickets ends December 31, 2025, so purchase your tickets and secure your reservations soon. Keep in mind, Marie Claude, that you will need to show proof of Canadian residency at the park entrance.

To me, the entertainment is the star of the show during the holiday season. A Christmas Fantasy Parade, featuring marching toy soldiers and dancing reindeer, is a must-see, as well as the "Believe...In Holiday Magic" Fireworks Spectacular. There are a few locations where you can watch lights illuminate each evening, such as the tree on Main Street, U.S.A., "it's a small world," and Sleeping Beauty Castle. And don't miss live performances at California Adventure as part of Disney ¡Viva Navidad! All of this to say, you will have an amazing time.

Marie Claude, if you think of any additional questions as you continue planning your very merry trip, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
