We've both got Walt Disney World Resort vacations coming up this winter and I've also been trying to get my hands on one of the
new MagicBand upgrades for
Resort Hotel guests! I saw a Christmas-themed one in there yesterday but, just like you've experienced, it was gone by the time I had entered my name to personalize it so it's doesn't appear to have anything to do with your location. I have been able to order a new
MagicBand since the process was updated this spring, and I'm happy to share with you what steps I went through to complete the transaction.
Through experience, I have learned that the inventory is updated a few times a day so the MagicBand designs disappear and reappear in real-time as they are purchased and re-stocked. Because of this, you may need to exercise a little patience and perseverance to get the designs you're looking for. I recommend checking
My Disney Experience as often as you're willing to, and I've found that the best selections tend to be available in the morning. Have each member of your family give you a list of a few characters or designs that they'd be happy with so you can place the order as soon as you see some MagicBands that you like. If you're having trouble accessing the ordering page or seeing any inventory, try clearing your web browser data and try again. Sometimes that's done the trick for me and I hope it works for you too!
