Greetings Alfiya, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with your question as you prepare for your upcoming dance adventure in the Most Magical Place on Earth. What a wonderful place to travel for a competition, and I'm glad you'll have some time for fun while you're in Mickey Mouse's neighborhood.
Unfortunately, you are not able to exchange
Disneyland Resort theme park tickets for Walt Disney World theme park tickets. The good news is, even if you can't make it to California before your Disneyland theme park tickets expire, those tickets never lose their value, and the amount you paid can be applied to the purchase of new tickets when you are ready to travel there in the future. Be sure to
review updated expiration dates (Guests were offered extensions following last year's closure) to see if your tickets will be good past this December.
If you're looking for something to zip-a-dee-do during your daughter's dance competition, but spending several days in the theme parks isn't possible right now, there are still plenty of budget-friendly activities to consider within the Walt Disney World Resort. First, I checked the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar, and the entire month of July looks open, so if you're interested, you could pick your favorite theme park (mine is
EPCOT!) and visit for just one day rather than 2-3 to save some money.
Fireworks will be part of our world again at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT beginning July 1, so choosing one of these two parks would give you the most
bang for your buck in my opinion.
A splash-tacular place to chill out Walt Disney World is
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. It's full of frosty, family fun, and it's the perfect spot to hang out during Olaf's favorite season. My family loves everything here from the
slides to the
snacks. A single-day water park ticket costs less than a theme park ticket, but you can easily fill an entire day on the slopes.
If your family enjoys a little friendly competition, check out
Fantasia Gardens & Fairways Miniature Golf located near the
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. Another inexpensive, but fun activity, my planDisney pals and I played a round here just recently and had an absolute
ball. After hitting the links, we spent some time enjoying
Disney's BoardWalk and had a meal at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. The afternoon was practically perfect in every way!
I hope this is helpful, Alfiya, and you find ways to make the most of your Walt Disney World trip next month. Thanks for sending your question to us, and we'll see you real soon!
