We are from Canada and have a multi day "date based" pass. Are we still permitted to enter Epcot without a reservation for the New Years celebration on December 31st? If so what time should we arrive (ie. Before 7pm)? Help!

    Jolene,

Hello from across the border, and happy almost-New Year! How exciting that you’ll be ringing in 2025 at Walt Disney World Resort—what an unforgettable way to welcome the new year!

With your multi-day date-based ticket, you won’t need Theme Park Reservations to enter EPCOT on December 31st. However, since New Year’s Eve is one of the most popular days of the year at the parks, there’s always the possibility of reaching capacity. My advice? Arrive early, stay late, and soak up all the festive fun EPCOT has to offer!

EPCOT’s New Year’s Eve celebrations are truly something to behold. You’ll find live entertainment, DJs spinning music in multiple pavilions, a foodie’s paradise with bites and sips from around the world, and an incredible countdown to midnight that lights up the night sky over World Showcase Lagoon. If you’re hoping to snag a prime fireworks viewing spot or catch a ride on one of your favorite attractions, arriving early will give you the best chance to enjoy it all.

If you’re wondering what “early” means, I’d aim to arrive no later than late morning if at all possible. Think of it as giving yourself a full-day pass to an EPCOT extravaganza. You can spend your day exploring the pavilions, enjoying unique holiday-themed snacks, and, of course, dancing your way into 2025 with music filling the air.

As someone who’s celebrated New Year’s Eve at Walt Disney World, I can tell you the magic of the evening is worth every minute of preparation. From the immersive atmosphere to the once-a-year fireworks spectacular, the hype is real, and the memories will last forever.

Wishing you a dazzling day and a sparkling start to your new year!
