We are in Canada and at our local Walmart we can buy gift cards that say they work at Disney World. Is this correct? I understand if I purchase at $50 CAD it will be a little less than that, just curious if it will work.

Greetings and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Patti!

I was SO excited to see the Disney Gift Cards at my local retail outlets here in Canada, that I went a little overboard with my purchases which are almost as high a deck of playing cards.

Patti, currently, when you purchase your Disney Gift Card at any Canadian retail outlet, it will be in Canadian currency, unless, of course, you purchase it online. When you redeem the Disney Gift Card at Walt Disney World Resort, the amount in Canadian funds will be converted to U.S. funds, based on the previous day’s market-close exchange rate (subject to change). Please refer to Disney Gift Card Redemption Locations in preparation for your arrival.

We hope to see you real soon as a Guest at one of our Disney Resort hotels to experience unique benefits and magical adventures. Check out the current Special Offers, Deals & Discounts and begin building your pre-paid, inclusive Magic Your Way Vacation Package – the most ultimate way to visit The Place Where Dreams Come True!

Patti, it would be our extreme pleasure and honour to be able to assist you with your next Disney Vacation plans again soon!

    Best Disney Wishes!
