Will any of the campsites at fort wilderness allow/accommodate a 16x20 tent?

Howdy Christine! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We’re so happy you’ve brought your vacation planning question to us, and I’d be happy to assist you today.

Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s off to The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort you go! I can’t think of a better way to relax and unwind after a day at the theme parks than camping in the magic of the great outdoors. You’ll enjoy waking up with Bambi and friends in the timeless beauty of the American frontier.

As I have only been a guest of the Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort in the past, I spoke with an expert ranch hand who shared with me that you will need to book a Premium Campsite to accommodate your tent. These sites, which can fit up to 18 by 60 feet of equipment are popular, so be sure to secure one as soon as you can.

While you’re in the neighborhood, take time to explore some of the unique recreation opportunities in the wilderness. Train like Robin Hood at the Fort Wilderness Archery Experience or saddle up on a pony at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch. Carriage and wagon rides along scenic trails are also available. In the evening, stop by the Chip ‘N’ Dale Campfire Sing-A-Long for some tunes and treats! You can be as busy as you like while enjoying time at your delightful retreat.

I hope this helps as you plan your adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth. If there is anything else we can do as your vacation approaches, please come on back and see us again.

You’ve got a friend in me!
