We will be camping at Ft. Wilderness for 2 weeks end of June/beg July. Are the mosquitos/bugs bad? Will we need lots of bug spray? We camped in April 3 years ago there but I don't remember them being bad but know summer humidity can make things worse.

Hi William!  We just returned from our great cabin experience at Fort Wilderness!  We were unfortunate guests to endure the wrath of mother nature and her record setting rains during our stay. To say that we saw lots of water where it wasn't supposed to be is an understatement but it was also amazing to see how well Disney takes care of everything!

Even with all the rain and standing water we never saw or heard a mosquito.  That is not to say that there won't be some but it appears that the Disney folks use their magic to make sure the campgrounds are as bug free as possible.  We only saw a couple of small creepy crawlies in our cabin during that wet time and in fact had to go to the Yacht Club resort to see our snake!

I would certainly bring bug spray with you.  Anything to make you more comfortable when camping is a must but I honestly don't feel you will have to worry about being eaten alive during your vacation.  Being a past constant deluxe resort guest, this past trip to the cabins was out of my comfort zone but we had fun and have actually booked another vacation in October to try them again.

Happy trails....you will have so much fun!
