We are camping at Ft Wilderness Jan 14' - we do have an motor coach, but wondered if a tent would also be allowed on the same site?

Hi Tammie! Fort Wilderness is one of my favorite places at Walt Disney World. We also have a motor coach and love to come down for a longer period of time to relax and enjoy the parks.

You are allowed to have a tent at your site as well as your motor coach. Some sites will work better for this then others. The premium sites are generally reserved for the larger coaches and the pads are long and all concrete. Other loops have sites where the back end of the pads are firm sand covered which allows for easier use of tents and covered screens etc. The loops that are best for this include 1600,1700, 1800, and 1900. At other sites you can find even ground for a tent behind the motor coach but all sites can be quite different in the space and topography.

I am sure you will have a great visit in January. Cool evenings make those grilled meals even more fun and tasty! And don't forget to head to the Chip and Dale Campfire Singalong at least once while you are there and bring blankets to stay for the movie under the stars!
