Hello Karen and thanks for bringing such an important safety question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I absolutely adore both the Cabins and
Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and the thing I love most is the idyllic and peaceful setting amongst the majestic and wild Cypress and Pine trees. This wild and rural setting sometimes means that due to long periods of dry weather combined with no rainfall wildfire regulations and
burn bans are put into place which everyone must adhere to.
On your behalf this morning I spoke with a knowledgeable Guest Services Cast Member by dialling the number for
Non-Reservation Questions contained within this
Walt Disney World Resort Phone Directory who informed me that at present due to the heavy and persistent rainfall in Orlando that the
burn ban has been lifted on Disney property.
Disney Cast Members are simply
Wild About Safety and should always be your guide when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. Therefore I suggest on arrival at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort that you double check with Cast Members the current status of the fire safety regulations.
Wishing you a pixie dusted upcoming June camping trip to
Walt Disney World Resort where I'm sure you'll create some unforgettable and magical memories!
Have a great Disney day.
~ Jane
