Hi La Rae!
Fort Wilderness Campground Resort is one of my favorite places at Walt Disney World. It does indeed have many unique experiences that some of the other ones might not have.
The water activities include private fishing excursions, pontoon rentals, and water Sprite rentals. Those were suspended in the past few days and not sure if they are back up and running. But you can also enjoy fishing on the Fort canals and you can get rental equipment from the Bike Barn when you arrive, They have also rented canoes and kayaks and not sure if those were suspended as well but when you check in ask for the latest information about all the water activities.
There are many other fun things to do while you are there. They have two pools to enjoy, archery, Segway tours, hiking, bike rentals, and various playgrounds around the campsites. Don't forget to enjoy
Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong during the evenings. This is complimentary and open to all guests to come to roast marshmallows over a campfire followed by singing and dancing and of course personal appearances from Chip and Dale. That is then followed by a Disney movie under the stars each night.
Other fun activities include horseback riding or pony rides and if you just want to look and not ride head to the Disney stables located next to Pioneer Hall. Here is home to the many beautiful horses you will see in the Magic Kingdom and during park parades. You can enter the stables and see your favorites and also look at the small museum they have there. I am sure you will find lots to do no matter what and will have a most enjoyable time at Fort Wilderness!
