Is the campfire at Animal Kingdom Lodge open to everyone or is it only open to AKL guests? We are staying at AOA, but we're planning a day to explore AKL!

Hi Anna! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You have such a fun trip to the Walt Disney World Resort coming up in just a few days! Not only are you staying at one of the best themed Disney Resort hotels with Disney's Art of Animation Resort, but you have also decided to explore what it definitely one of my favorite Disney Deluxe Resort hotels. I'll admit it ... I'm jealous of your itinerary! You will have a blast!

In my experience, I have never been asked to show proof that I am staying at a particular Disney Resort hotel in order to attend the campfire activity. If it is a particular busy night at the campfire, they may want to make sure that it is for Guests staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge only, but if it is a normal night and not too busy, you should be fine to enjoy the campfire. According to the Recreational Guide for October, campfires take place nightly from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM on the Arusha Savanna Overlook (near the Main Lobby). How fun!

Enjoy your visit, Anna! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
