Can we have camp fires at the campground???????

    Hi Steve,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking a question about the campgrounds, it’s such a unique place to enjoy. My family’s most recent trip to Disney World was a stay at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and we had a fantastic time! It was our first stay in the Cabins and it definitely won’t be our last.

When my kids hear the word “camping”, they always think about campfires and s’mores - two of their favorite things synonymous with the outdoors. Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long is a great way to end the day! Guests wishing to roast marshmallows can either bring their own or purchase kits from the Meadow Trading Post.

Guests staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are welcome to enjoy a campfire at their campsite as long as they follow the resort’s safety guidelines. Open-air fires aren’t permitted, but enclosed fire pits that meet the requirements - including a solid metal lid to keep sparks and embers contained - are perfectly fine to use. If you would like to roast marshmallows, they are available for purchase both at the Meadow Trading Post and the Chuck Wagon Snack Bar

I hope this information is helpful to you as you wrap up the last of your planning. Have a wonderful stay at The Campgrounds at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort!

    Adventure is out there,
