Does a Camelbak hydration backpack count as a bag for Disney park security? Or could I go through the “no bag” security with it?

    G’day, Jana!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel

Hydration is a huge part of having a happy and healthy trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I’m so glad to hear you aren’t H20 intolerant like Nemo’s friend, Sheldon! Having a good supply of water is sure to keep you out of trouble, away from the drop-off zone, and able to just keep swimming

As CamelBak Hydration Packs are worn as a backpack and can be used to carry items in addition to your water, you will need to go through the “bag check” line upon entering the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. Don’t worry though, Jana, if you’re only carrying that bag you will be through the line before you can say, “P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney!” I find that there are less people waiting if I go to the “bag check” lines that are closer to the edges! Make sure to have your exit buddies close when you prepare to enter the parks!

This big blue world is full of magic and adventure! Don’t miss chatting with my 150 year-old ocean-friend at Turtle Talk With Crush! It’s a totally tubular interactive show you’ll love!

If you have any additional questions about navigating your next Disney-journey, you know where to find us, Jana!

Until next time, Shark Bait... Hoo ha ha

When I’m not galavanting around the Disney theme parks, you’ll probably find me reading a good book, outside playing with my family, or learning to do something new. I truly believe that dreams come true, and I look forward to sharing that magic with you!
