Hey, howdy, hey, Joan!
Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for your question about your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort.
I’m glad you were able to get your question serviced on the
phone lines. Now let’s see if there is something that we can do to see the effects of that flow through the rest of your experience. There are a couple of places you may look to see the updates. Although there isn’t currently a location online to look at just your
theme park tickets, you can check your
theme park reservations along with their associated tickets on the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page. If the Guests' names on that page appear correct, then it would seem the database has been updated correctly.
The other place to look, of course, is in the
Disneyland mobile app. If the “Tickets and Passes” screen still shows the incorrect Guest names, the first thing to do is to make sure you are running the latest version of the app available in your device’s app store. Another approach I recommend to try to correct the issue is to log out of your account and log back in. Or a more extreme measure might be to start over by deleting the app and all of its data and re-downloading the app.
If these measures don’t happen to work, there are a few additional points to make. First, you may have run into a glitch in the system. To help the developers discover and address the issue you might choose to submit feedback. That can be done by either
emailing online or by submitting a review through your device's app store.
The other point that may help a little is that, although the names displayed on tickets in the Disneyland app are helpful to keep them straight, the names aren’t usually required to match the actual user of each ticket. When a Guest first activates their ticket at the entrance of either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, the Cast Member at the turnstile will take a photo of the Guest that will be digitally linked with the ticket. That photo becomes the primary identifier for who is using that ticket from that point rather than the name displayed in the app. A physical card will also be printed out at the turnstile. If you’d like a reference to remember who is using which ticket, you may write the name of the Guest using each ticket on that ticket card as well.
I hope that helps a bit with your situation, Joan. And I hope you have a magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth. Because the Disneyland Resort continues to add more and more magic, including the return of
up-close character interactions and autographs and the comeback of
more nighttime spectaculars and entertainment, I have a feeling you are going to have a wonderful time!
