Hi Eugene,
I'm so sorry to hear that your anniversary celebration coincides with a period of refurbishment for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Perhaps you can save that experience for a future celebration. I'm sure it will return to Pioneer Hall in 2013 bigger and better than ever!
Have no fear about this year's anniversary celebration, though! There are plenty of romantic alternatives for you and your wife. If you want to celebrate with a fun dinner show, I recommend an evening at
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney's Polynesian Resort. The show is presented twice daily between Tuesdays and Saturdays. When you call (407) WDW-DINE to make reservations, I suggest you select the earlier show at 5:15 pm. Then afterward you could enjoy a walk along the beach. In fact, the beach at Disney's Polynesian Resort is
my all-time favorite place to view fireworks at Walt Disney World. My husband and I celebrated an anniversary there a few years ago and it was pure magic!
If a polynesian dinner show is not to your liking, you could book a lovely dinner atop Disney's Contemporary Resort at California Grill or a romantic dinner at one of the splendid restaurants at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. My favorites are the Grand Floridian Cafe and Narcoossee's. If you're looking for the ultimate in romance and splendor, there's always Victoria and Albert's. Trust me; there's no shortage of incredible options!
Thanks for your follow-up question, Eugene, and best wishes for a fabulous anniversary celebration.
Jill
