Hello, Mark! Welcome to planDisney!
One of my favorite ways to take a Disney cruise is with a group! There’s nothing more fun than a game of trivia or karaoke on Captain Mickey’s ship with a group of friends or family. Some of our best extended family memories have been made this way! I’ve linked accounts for many of my group cruises now, and I would be happy to share with you how to do it.
First, let me set your mind at ease that Disney Cruise Line never shares the cost of another guest’s reservation without being asked. Even if they’re asked, I don’t believe that they would share this information without the consent of the original guest on the reservation. While they might share a reminder of the final payment date, they won't share the actual cost of the cruise.
Once you’re all
linked together, you’ll be able to see each other’s reservations on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. While you can see each other’s plans and reservation information, you won’t see any other personal details such as credit card or payment information. However, if any of you reserved your cruise directly with Disney Cruise Line and not a travel agent, you might be able to see the remaining balance that’s due on the reservation with a final payment reminder. Any guest who used a travel agent to make their reservation will have their balance summary say “Contact your travel professional”.
You can link your reservations either by calling Disney Cruise Line or on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or the Disney Cruise Line website. Click “Add Reservation”, and then you just need the confirmation number as well as the last name and date of birth of a guest in the stateroom. Then, Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, you can begin making those exciting cruise plans together!
By linking your reservations together, you’re also letting Disney Cruise Line know to prioritize your group being seated together at dinner time. While this is never guaranteed, as it’s subject to availability, my linked groups and I have always been seated together, so it’s very likely!
Mark, I hope that I was able to set your mind at ease about linking your reservations together. I wish your group the most amazing memories! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
You’ve Got a Friend in Me,
Rana
