If we call the magic hotline to purchase tickets from Disney, will our tickets still link to My Disney experience? Also, is it possible to get a combination of one day park tickets and park hopper in the same week? Can we still pay for them in increments?

Welcome to planDisney, Kristin and thanks for stopping by with your question!

Kristin, with the 18-month long celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World just around the corner, this is a great time to plan a visit with an extra sprinkling of pixie dust! Now let's talk about unlocking all of the Magic... your tickets!

If you purchase tickets through calling Disney directly, you will still be able to link those tickets to your My Disney Experience account by entering your ticket order number or ticket ID number. To do this, you'll simply log into your My Disney Experience Account and then click on "My Plans." From here, scroll down until  you see the blue icon "Park Tickets" and hover until you see "Link Tickets." You'll then see a box to enter your ticket number. After linking your tickets, I encourage you to make your Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as you decide which park you'd like to visit on which day of your trip. These complimentary theme park tickets are still required to gain park entry (along with your ticket).

Now, Kristin, before you purchase tickets you'll need to decide what type of tickets are the best fit for your traveling party. If you purchase park hopper tickets, those will need to be for the length of your ticket. For example, if you have a 4-day park ticket, you are not able to only have 2 of those days as park hoppers. You would, however, be able to purchase a 2-day standard ticket and a 2-day park hopper. HOWEVER, I encourage you to do the math as it may still be more cost effective to purchase a 4-day park hopper.

Kristin, whichever tickets you decide on will need to be paid in full at the time of booking. The ability to pay in increments over time is only available if your tickets are part of a vacation package (which would include a Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay).

I hope this information helps as you're making decisions about your trip. Please come on back to planDisney with any additional questions. Like the popular Minnie Mouse headbands, we are all EARS.
