When can I call to ask for a ground floor room? My mom has arthritis and can't do a lot of stairs. So I was wondering if I could call. Pop preferred room over Christmas and my birthday.

Hi Codi, you are smart to book a preferred room on your reservation.  This will place you in a building closer to the main building that houses the front desk, food court, shopping, bus depot, etc.  I would suggest you contact Disney and add a request to your reservation.  An example of a request might be: "due to health reasons, requesting a building as close to the main building as possible, ground floor."  Requests are not guaranteed but you can be sure the cast members will do what they can to honor your request.  Good luck!

Wishing you a magical birthday and wonderful Christmas holiday!
