I see California Grill had a kids menu but what do tweens and teens eat there? As an adult I think the entrée menu looks great but to a 12 and 13 year old not so much. Will they work with you on this?

I agree, Paula, the menu at California Grill offers some amazing choices. In fact, I often have a difficult time deciding on just one entrée. Our travel buddies have teenage daughters who often disagree with what we consider yummy. In our experience, the girls simply ask the server if a dish can be modified. Sometimes their requests are as simple as no blue cheese on the flatbread or requesting a substitution of mac and cheese for a vegetable. We have found that they are more willing to try a new dish if the sauces are on the side or spicy seasonings are left off. My son refuses to eat anything covered in sauce and expresses his disgust when ordering. The California Grill servers have always noted his preference and accommodated his request without a fuss. Your teens may surprise you and decide to try something new. We were taken by surprise when our little guy wanted to taste my hubby's delicious bison and my pork served two ways.

I hope this helps to answer your question, and you can focus on the amazing California Grill menu and take in the unbelievable views high atop Disney's Contemporary Resort.

    Have a magical day!
