    Is there a calendar for Walt Disney World that will tell me what events are taking place at a certain for the the year, ie Marathons, Cheerleading competitions, ..?

    Hi Elizabeth! It is nice to know what is happening at Walt Disney World before you plan your vacation. Since so many events are under different divisions of Disney it is best to go to each one to get the most current times and dates.  For the running events check out rundisney.com. You can see by month what races will be held and what parks they will be running in.  For events happening at the ESPN Wide World of Sports such as the cheerleading competitions you can check out the calendar at WSPNwwos.com.

    I have also found allears.net (Calendar of Events) has a good current listing of things that can be expected at the parks such as the Flower and Garden Show in Epcot and the Food and Wine Festival. Obviously things change and new events are added all the time so keep checking back. Enjoy your planning process and don't forget we are here to help you along the way!
