Is there a calendar of events available? I’m trying to decide when to visit WDW this winter.

    Hi M Jean,

I'm thrilled you've come to planDisney with your question about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort this winter! While there's no single calendar that shows all events, I can definitely help you out with some key details to make your planning a bit easier.

If you want to experience the holiday magic, you won’t miss Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. This special after-hours event transforms Magic Kingdom Park into a winter wonderland on select nights in November and December and includes a special Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, complimentary seasonal snacks like hot cocoa and cookies, and even snow on Main Street, U.S.A.! I can't think of a better way to experience the most wonderful time of the year than at The Most Magical Place On Earth!

Over at EPCOT, the International Festival of the Holidays offers a celebration of the season from around the world, also running from late November through December. Here, you will be able to experience a retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator, accompanied by a choir and orchestra, seasonal dishes from various country’s holiday kitchens, and JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season, a tribute to Christmas and Kwanzaa!

January and February are excellent choices if you're considering visiting after the holidays. During these months, you'll find lower crowds, milder temperatures, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the parks at a more relaxed pace. If you are a Guest of one of Disney Resorts Collection hotels, you can also take advantage of more time in the parks through early theme park entry (for all Disney Resort Guests) and extended evening theme park hours (for Deluxe Resort Guests). Low crowds and more time in the parks? Sign me up!

After doing some research, if you’d like suggestions on which Disney Resorts Collection hotel to choose or which dining reservations to make, submit me a question. I’d be happy to share some more Disney knowledge with you! No matter when you choose to visit M Jean, Walt Disney World is sure to be a magical experience!

    See you real soon,
    Brent
