Is there a calculator to determine the 60-day date for booking dining reservations?

Hello and Welcome to planDisney, Connie. I'm so glad you are here and thinking about making dining reservations. Some of the very best places can fill up rather quickly!

Connie, there isn't necessarily a date calculator to help you figure out when to make advanced dining reservations. What I typically do is open up a web browser and type in the search bar, "60 days prior to (insert date here)". If my calculations are correct, and you'll want to double-check me on this just to be sure, it looks like you can make your advanced dining reservations on Monday, August 30th. You are able to start making your advanced dining reservations online starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time. If you would prefer to call you can do so starting at 7:00 a.m. The phone number to do that is 407-WDW-DINE.

Keep in mind, Connie, that if you are making dining reservations for a restaurant located inside one of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, it is best to coordinate that with your park pass reservations. A dining reservation alone will not get you into that specific theme park. If you have the park hopper option added on to your theme park tickets, this makes dining at restaurants inside of the theme park a little bit easier as long as it is after 2:00 p.m. when you can hop over.

If you are looking for a dinner recommendation, I highly suggest The BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs. It is my favorite restaurant at Walt Disney World right now. The restaurant is set right on the lake and is such a pretty spot to watch the sunset. The menu really has something for everyone - even the pickiest eaters. My go-to order right now is the lobster roll served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries. If you save room for dessert, you've got to try the key lime pie in a jar. It's a perfect ending to a perfect meal.

I hope this helps, Connie. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and ask me. Have a great day!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
