I have so cal 3 day tickets with one visit left, I had a reservation for may 20 but had to cancel due to emergency surgery, there are no reservations available before my ticket expires, can my expiration date be extended a week or will I loose my ticket

    Hi there, Rosie!

First of all, I’m so sorry you had to cancel. I sincerely hope that the surgery has gone well and that everyone is feeling healthy again.

As you know, the current Southern California Residents 3-Day, Weekday Tickets expire on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Any unused days remaining on one of these promotional tickets must be used by that date. Because theme park reservations are required for all Guests of the Disneyland Resort theme parks, I recommend keeping a close eye on the theme park reservation availability calendar. Other Guests may end up needing to cancel like you. So I’m hopeful that something will come up. I recommend checking the calendar often, but especially in the evenings when Guests make a last-minute decision about canceling the next day’s reservation.

Tony’s Tip: I hope you can find an available park reservation next week. If you don’t happen to book one, another option to consider is to leverage the amount you have invested already into purchasing a Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass. Your existing ticket purchase could count as your down payment. And, lucky you, as a California resident, you are also eligible for the convenient monthly installment plan. If you decide to upgrade your current ticket to a Disneyland Resort Magic Key pass, remember that you will have until midnight of the last day you use your ticket or until the ticket expiration date, May 26th, whichever comes first. Upgrading to a Magic Key pass can be done within the Disneyland mobile app.

Tony’s Tip Times Two: If you are looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to recover after surgery, might I suggest a one-night getaway to one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels? Not only would you be able to enjoy a refreshing beverage from the pool bar as you put up your feet on a comfy lounger beside the beautifully-themed pool areas, but you would also be granted access to theme park reservations set aside exclusively for on-site hotel Guests. That’s right, even if reservations are unavailable for ticket-only visits, hotel Guests typically may find availability from this additional set of theme park reservations.

I am wishing you good health and magical times, Rosie!
