Are they still going to have the cake decorating experience beyond September 2020? I even called and there are no dates. The operator said this may mean the program is changing or going away.

Hi there Kathryn! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How positively sweet of you to stop by with your cake query. I'd be happy to assist you today.

As someone with a sweet tooth as hearty as Winnie the Pooh's, I am always on the look out for new sugary experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney Springs is the ideal location for dessert fans; Sprinkles, Erin McKenna's Bakery NYC, and Amorette's Patisserie are fantastic places to sample tasty treats.

The Cake Decorating Experience at Amorette's Patisserie is a unique, small-group lesson taught by a Disney pastry artist held at 9:00 each morning at Amorette's Patisserie. Guests can kick their dessert skills up a notch by learning how to create this bakery's signature character dome cakes.  I just adore the Minnie Mouse cake and would love to know the secrets to its delectable design!

Kathryn, at this time, it looks like this experience can only be reserved through September 26, 2020. There is no news yet as to how or if it will be offered in October, but I would continue to check the reservation page to see if future dates have been released.

If you happen to be a Disney Vacation Club Member, contact Member Services to reserve a spot at a Cake Decorating Workshop at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, offered Wednesday afternoons to Disney Vacation Club Members and their guests. During this experience, guests create a petite, Disney-themed dessert and acquire a variety of skills to feel like a kitchen pro at home.

Whether or not you are able to master the pastry brush on your vacation, your October travel plans likely fall within the dates of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. This is one of my favorite seasonal offerings in Walt Disney World, and you will find a number of interactive culinary demonstrations and events that may satisfy both your sweet tooth and gastronomic interests. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the event page as specific information regarding these opportunities is released. Bon appétit!

I hope this has been helpful as you continue planning your fall adventure to the Most Magical Place on Earth. If there is anything else we can do for you as your vacation approaches, please stop by and see us again. We're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
    Betsy
